The new Lucci Air Bronx ceiling fan with DC motor uses approximately 40% less electricity while producing the same airflow as an AC fan.
The DC motor offers the possibility of low-speed rotation which, in combination with the winter reverse blade mode, results in energy savings by reducing the accumulated heat from the ceiling to the lower level of the room.
This technique achieves even distribution of air heat by setting the thermostat up to two degrees lower. This ensures further savings in heating costs without reducing the level of comfort.
